DC United 4, Rapids 1

Once again the cRapids loose. But this was one of their better loosing games...............wait is that even possible? No it is not.

Okay, I didn't watch this game, because I was at practice scoring goals and playing real soccer. But I did see the highlights and I got to just say Peterson's goal was a perfect header, strength and speed. And that's pretty much it. Every other part in the highlights was of the Rapids defense playing like 5 year olds running around in a circle trying to get out.

As most know Petke fractured his ankle in this game. In the highlights that looked pretty fridging painful. Also Vanney, who was traded to D.C., did the stupidest thing in the box touched the ball with his hand. Kind of looked like he wasn't even trying to hide because maybe he knew he was getting traded to D.C. blah blah.......enough of the stupid conspiracy theory. Anyways his stupid antic caused a penalty, which then turned into a goal. It was not Bouna Time on that one folks.

The highlights then proceed to show a corner for D.C. which also wound up being a goal. But I really don't see any fault with the Rapids because well they guy got lucky, because Pearduex can't win fights worth shit; and he did make a really good header. The next goal...........you know what they just fucked this game up and obviously D.C. was the better team.

Next game is at Chicago, I won't see it because well I will be traveling through Chicago to New York. But I will post about the video highlights on the Rapids page.

Thierry Henry to Barcelona

As all now know in the soccer world, Henry has left Arsenal to join Barcelona. My thoughts on it are that Arsenal fans are sure as hell going to miss him, I know I do, but the fact of the matter is that he gave 8 good seasons to Arsenal and now it's time to move on. Sure last year he didn't play much because of injuries, but it's a physical sport your gonna get hurt, deal with it.
Now where does his departure leave Arsenal? Who the hell really knows. We do know that Barcelona sure got the better deal. Only 16.5 million Euros for Henry. Seriously I would of held out for more. Especially since this will make Barcelona's line up pretty wicked, which brings me to the real question I have been wondering is: what is the line up going to look like for Barcelona?

Barcelona has a ton of really good offense to start: Ronaldhino, Messi, Eto'o,and Henry. Now I doubt they would buy Henry then just have him sit on the bench, so where will he fit in the lineup? Can't wait to see.

Also does anyone remember when Real Madrid also did the same thing with Zidane, Figo, Rual, and Ronaldo? Yesh that didn't do to well. But that was just shitty organization and as always they couldn't keep a coach. But I don't think the same thing will happen with Barcelona.

Bye Henry.

MLS standings

The Rapids just keep going down and down in the standings. First they were at the top, then the second, then the third, now their at fourth. Now the questions is will they go up or just keep going down? And if they do, should Clavijo be fired?

My answers:
1. I think at the rate the Rapids are going down right now, they are just going to keep going down and down and down. I don't think they have a chance to go to the playoffs and I am not really surprised. They looked great in the opening game, but who doesn't on their home field. The Rapids have a new home and they have only won twice on. That isn't good. If anything people should fear the Rapids when they have to play in "our house", but instead they probably just laugh.

2. Colorado Rapids under Fernando Clavijo (Credit this site: http://www.fireclavijo.com/FireClavijo/index.htm)

Year GP W L T Pts GF GA GD
2007 13 4 6 3 15 13 17 -4
2006 32 11 13 8 41 36 49 -13
2005 32 13 13 6 45 40 37 3

Now this is just pathetic, the Rapids haven't improved at all. If anything they just keep getting worse and worse and worse. I say fire him, he hasn't done anything in the three years they have had him as a coach. Sure the third year isn't over yet, but it sure as hell seems like it when they haven't won a game in a month. It's time to move on, fire the troll. I am going to make a poster that says that and bring it to the next game, on second thought why waste a good poster.

FC Dallas 1, Rapids 0

Another fucking loss in "our house." They played okay, I guess. But this 4 losing game streak is getting fucking annoying. WIN A FUCKING GAME!! God, my dog, who has had two strokes and can't even walk, could have played a lot better then some of the idiots that were on the pitch Saturday.

The line up was okay:
---------Bouna------
Pier---Ugo--Petke--Vanney
---------Kroviski--------- <----until we hit here. Why is he on the field still?
Cooke---Beckerman---Nico <-------and he just is a ball hog.
------Gomez----Casey----

I would have put Cancela in for Kroviski. And I would have tried Clark on the left mid for Nico. And I also would have put Gargen for Pier.

Casey played great, until he got an injury.
Gomez as always played great.
Cooke is getting better at realizing he needs to get back and play defense, but other than that he was playing fine.
Vanney looked a little shaky, but he is coming off an injury.
Petke didn't play too bad.
Ugo needs to communicate with Bouna, because he almost made an own goal.
Beckerman looked good. He's probably really excited to finally get the call up for the national team.
Nico needs to learn to pass and shoot instead of dribble when he needs to take a shot.
Kroviski crap like always, but he did get put up top and still didn't do anything.
Pieraduex looked like crap, but did play a little better.
Bouna how could you not stop that goal? But he played great.

The Subs that went on:

Peterson don't hesitate to shoot. Other than that he looks like a great paring up top with Gomez.
Cancela ummm fucking shoot. He played with it too long.
Brown ugh trade him he can't do anything now.

Ugo did receive a red card in overtime. He so did not deserve, but then again I am supposed to say that because I am a fan. But he seriously didn't deserve it.

Also in the next game the Rapids will not have two of the best guys on the team; Gomez and Beckerman. They will however have Pablo back so they won't be missing too many good players.

Next game is this Thursday against DC United. I will not be watching it because I will be gone at soccer practice.

USA Vs. Mexico

I know this game will be probably the most interesting. I really can't wait. The Mexico USA rival always makes for an exciting game come out of these two teams. The last time I saw Mexico play the USA the US won, so I have high hopes for this game.

I think the score will be tied up 1-1 till overtime where Landy will get a penalty like he always does and he will score like he always does. So 2-1 USA.

Hoping the line-up will look something like this:

-----------------Keller---------------
Simek----?-----Borcangra----Specter
Donovan---Mastroeni---Feilhaber----Beasley
---------Dempsey---Ching-----------

I put Keller in because in the Canada game he really impressed me. I still don't know who should play. I hope Ching is up top with Dempsey because they are both very good and guaranteed to get that equalizer (maybe).

I bet you anything that Donovan will get a penalty kick because so far he has been getting one in every game, I think. Plus if he does he will be tied for the record for whatever the hell it was.

Can't wait, really excited for the game. And I know the USA will take the Gold Cup this year because face it Mexico is playing like shit.

This Sunday @ 1:00 PM on CH50.

Who will take the Gold Cup home?

The USA ;)

Rapids Vs. FC Dallas

The Rapids really, really, really need to win. Right now there in fourth place in the Western Confrence and at this rate they will deffinatly not make the playoffs.

Hoping the Line up will look something like this:
-----------Thorton--------
Gargen---Ugo---Petke----Vanney
------------Cancela-----------
Cooke-----Beckerman------Gomez
---------Peterson---Casey--------

I changed the goalie because I kind of want to see what he can do in an actual game. I also moved Gomez to the left mid, which is the main problem for the Rapids. Gomez is a good crosser and he is good at getting the ball up there. I put Peterson up top because he is best up there.

I think the only time the Rapids have beat FC Dallas was twice, when Clavijo was coach. I think FC Dallas will win this match the score will be 2-1.

I hope they win this game because this game is the last soccer game I will see until I come back from New York.

USA VS. Canada

The semifinal match for the Gold Cup is today against Canada @ 7:00P.M. I think the score will be 2-1 USA in overtime. This will be a really close game but the US will win.

The line-up will hopefully prove to be better this game then it was in the last. Something like this:
---------------Howard-----------------
Simek-----?-----Bocanegra------Bornstein
Donovan---Pablo---Bradley--Fleihaber--Ching
---------------Dempsey-----------------

I like this line up allot. I like it, I like it a lot. I just have one spot I am not sure on who should go there. I really don't want Gooch to play because he just isn't that good and we need someone who can stop DeRosario.

I think this game will probably be the second most interesting game the US will play in the Gold Cup. The first most interesting, as we all know, will be the US VS Mexico final game.

I didn't put Twellman in the line up this tie because I think I have come to the realization that he is really only good at one thing: scoring. Other than that he doesn't bring much else to the table. I would only put him in if we really needed a goal. Then again with his crappy shooting in the Panama game maybe they shouldn't rely on him too much.

But I think the US will pull off a win and Landy will get another penalty.

Chivas 2, Rapids 0

So the cRapids lost to Chivas USA. It was the most pathetic game of soccer I have ever seen. I didn't even finish watching the whole game; it was that bad.

The Line up was:
-----------Bouna------Prideaux----Ugo----Petke----Gargen
Cooke---LaBrocca---Krivoski----Peterson
------Casey------Gomez----

There is nothing much to say about the lineup. I thought LaBrocca would've played a lot better then he did, but I don't think he's ready. I think this game also showed that they are dependent on Beckerman and Pablo.

First Half:
The first half was boring. Really, really boring. No one scored and no one did anything. But Connor Casey did manage to bend down and tie his boots in the middle of play. There's nothing much to say about the first half. The only person who played in the first half was Gomez.

Second Half:
The second half was even worse then the first. Cooke scored an own goal. Then after that they gave up. Gomez almost had a chance at goal but didn't get lucky. Then Chivas scored again, the Rapids kept playing like shit, my brother farted, and then I went home.

My man of the match: Gomez because he was the only one giving 100% throughout the whole game.

Next game is a home game against FC Dallas. I will be attending this game. Hopefully they won't lose.

US 2, Panama 1

The US scored 2 points in the quarterfinal against Panama in the Gold Cup. The next game is a semifinal against Canada on Thursday @ 5:00 PM.

The Line-up looked like this:
------Howard------
Hejduk----Onyewu--Bocanegra--Bornstein
----Mastroeni--- Bradley---
Donovan-----Beasley---
Dempsey----Twellman--

Okay the "formation" is interesting. We had this "formation" for school and we lost nearly all of our games, so I and this "formation" do not get along. But these guys are professionals so hopefully they will play alot better in this "formation" then we did.

I took some notes in this game because every time I watch games I always pick up a lot of stuff but soon forget it afterwards. So this time I wrote down what I wanted to mention.

First Half:
The U.S. had 6 chances to get a goal. I think Twellman had three chances, Bradley had one, Donovan had one, and Onyewu had one also. The one chance Donovan had he took way too long to shoot that. I was screaming at the TV for him to shoot, but no he choose to hold it too long. Twellman's first chance should have gone in if it wasn't such a shitty kick. And the other chances he had that Dempsey deflected because he was standing there, nice, really nice.

I thought Hejduk was making some really fantastic runs......... for a winger. He should have stayed back and let Donovan have some space because it looked like Donovan was absolutely confused as to where to go because some defender was trying to take his position. But Hejduk did make a lot of good runs and he did get back in time and save some could have been goals. Other than that I liked him but I think he should stick with just being a defender and stopping giving crappy crosses.

Dempsey, probably my favorite player on the team, I forgive you for standing in front of that shot. I also think the ref kept making a ton of stupid calls on him in the first half.

Other than all that stuff the first half went well even if they couldn't seem to find the back of the net.

Second Half:
This is where they scored the two goals and started playing a little crappy.

Howard made a really great save on a shot that should've gone in. Twellman looked like crap this half I was really glad when they took him off and put in Ralston on, even though Ralston didn't do too much either.

Donovan received a really beautiful pass from Dempsey that almost led to a goal until he was taken down by a defender. And that is were the penalty came in and we scored the first goal of the match.

Then Bocanegra made a goal on a foul kick from Beasley. Oh and thank god the ref didn't notice Onyewu push that guy to the ground. I thought Onyewu should have been subbed instead of Dempsey, because Gooch just played like shit the whole match, which is why Panama scored. Three defenders were crowded around this guy and he still managed to pass and score.

The subs were Ralston for Twellman, Ching for Dempsey, and Clark for Donovan. Second half wasn't really that great but at least they won.

Now I am going to talk about Panama who played like dirty little rats. They wasted time, they bitched about everything, and they fought. I think Panama got 4 or5 yellow cards in this match and 1 red card. But Christ were they just fucking playing dirty. I don't know how they made it this far but if they played like that in all their games I think I know why. Oh and number 22 was like a flopping fish out there. And how many times did the medic people have to come out there for them, 50 80 I don't know but it was obvious who should of won this match.

My man of the match is Dempsey for his beautiful pass to Donovan. He may of blocked one goal but I thought he was fucking awesome, hence the man of the match.

U.S.(mens) VS. Panama

The United States will be playing Panama this Saturday @ 2:00 P.M. This is a quarterfinal match in the Gold Cup, so now they have to win. Ummm the US is the only undefeated team and had three games where their opponent did not score. Now that I have summed up all that patootie we will get to what I think.

I think that they will have a tough game against Panama. But I don't think that they can't win this game. I think the game will be a tie until second half where the US will score the first goal. I think this game will wind up being 2-1 US. But you never know.

Now I'm going to talk about Landon Donovan, who no one seems to like. I am going to admit that no matter how many times I have poked fun at "Landy Cakes", I kind of like the guy. Of course that is if his mouth is shut and he's playing soccer. I swear sometimes that man can say the stupidest things. Like him not wanting to play in COPA America, Why the fridge not? Other than that I really wanted an excuse to show this picture of Landon:

Every time I see this picture on Wikipedia I laugh because he just looks so gay here. That pose is priceless. Oh and by the way Landy is now three goals away from being first on the USA's all-time scoring chart. So lets see if he gets another goal in the game against Panama.

I am hoping to see Twellman start this game. I really really like Twellman. He knows how to score. I think he has made 7 goals in this MLS season. I hope he wins the Golden Boot that is if he can beat Eddie Johnson who has 9 goals right now.

I am really excited for this game and I hope the US wins, then again I know they will so no worries. And if I am wrong and they lose oh well, hopefully they will do better in COPA America.

And thank god this game is on "regular TV" or I would probably never get to see it. Sure it's in Spanish and whenever my Mom hears it she bitches at me but I say fridge her (oooo teen angst).

Colorado Rapids Vs. Chivas USA

The Rapids need to win this game. Right now they are third in the Western Conference, and at this rate they are probably not going to make it into playoffs. At least the reserves are doing better. Then again, they did win the "Reserve MLS Cup" last year so it is no surprise they are doing well.

Anyways, The Rapids are missing two of their best players; Beckerman, suspended one game because of accumulated yellow cards that turned into a red card, and Pablo who is on National duty. I think we can win this game because Chivas is also missing a lot of key players due to National duty and injuries. But then again Huston and Toronto were missing some key players and The Rapids lost to them. So we really can't say that they have an advantage because Chivas are in the same boat as Huston and Toronto were. But you never know, maybe by some weird twist of worldly fate The Rapids will get touched by the magic soccer Leprechaun on the plane to Home Depot Park and they will not be affected by missing two key players.......... HA! Yeah right.

All that dodo aside, I am hopping for a lineup like this:

-------------Bouna--------
Gargen-----Ugo----Petke----Keel
-----------Cancela-----------
Gomez--------------Cooke-----
--------Jacob--Cummings-----

Yes, I'm quite aware that this will never happen, but one can always dream. I really like Keel and I think he would be a hell of a lot better on Left Back then Wingert, who if anything should be Left Back....... left back in the locker room. I also really like how well Cummings played in the last reserves game against the Galaxy. And I really think Clavijo needs to put Jacob up top not on the outside. Jacob has speed, use it to your advantage by putting him up top. In the last two games Jacob played outside mid, more like played with himself mainly because you can tell he doesn't like that position. When I saw him in the Open Cup game against Real Salt Lake he was playing Striker and he looked like that was where he wanted to be. He scored two wonderful goals and made a lot of wonderful plays; you could tell he wanted to be there. When he's on outside mid he isn't in the game, he pretty much just plays with himself while the game is going on.

Ugh!!!! I just don't know what else to say. When I saw the first game I really thought the Rapids were going to do a ton of a hell a lot better this year. But these last two games and all the stupid ties I keep seeing. I am starting to lose hope in this year. I hope that they will prove me wrong. They will prove that those two losses and all those ties were just a stupid phase. I do know that I'm going to stop having such high hopes for this season. That way I won't be let down so much when they fucking fail.

The game is @ 8:30 P.M. on Altitude, I hope my aunt will let me watch it at her house, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I wish my Dad would just get Cable but I should know better, we just don't have that kind of money, so mooching off my aunt is the way to go, Oi Vey!!!

U.S. 4, El Salvador 0

So The US won. Which isn't surprising seeing as they played the better game. So the score was higher then 2 like I said it would be.

I thought they played well but I think too many times they tried to go through a man instead of just faking them or passing. Oh and where the hell was Donovan or Dempsey when Beasley or whoever took a shot and it bounced right off the goalies hands and the ball was in perfect open space for 30 some seconds. Where was the other person who picks up the "trash"? Ugh those where pretty much the only things that really bothered me.Other then that it was a great game.

Beasley made two wonderful goals. Donovan scored on a penalty, which had to be re-kicked because of "player encroachment." Twellman made a goal off of an assist from Ching, in the second half.

The Line-up was as follows:
--------------Howard-----------
Spector---Onyewu---Parkhurst---Bornstein
Bradley----Mastroeni----Feilhaber
Donovan---------------Beasley
-----------Dempsey-------------

Twellman came on for Donovan, Ching came on for Bradley, and Simek came on for Spector in the second half.I thought Twellman and Ching are perfect together and should always be played together. "A match made in soccer heaven;" you could say. Howard looked bored in this game. Hell if I was an outsider or for El Salvador this game would tell me a lot on who I should be cheering for.

My man of the match is: Beasley, I chose him because he played wonderfully throughout the game and his two goals where spectacular.

The next game is Saturday at 4.

U.S.(mens) VS. El Salvador

Okay so today the USMNT will be playing El Salvador in the Gold Cup. If they win this game they win Group B. I think the US has the biggest advantage in this game because they are 12-1-4 against El Salvador. If they loose this game that's pretty pathetic.

If the US looses this game they are still in the running but they have to beat the first place team in Group A or C depending on what happens in the Guatemala game.

But I think we have a pretty high chance of winning this game. El Salvador isn't very creative and basically suck so the score is going to be more then 2.

I hope to see Twellman and Ching in this game, I really like those two. Can't wait till The New England Revolution plays the Rapids at home. But anyways Mastroeni is over his suspension from the World Cup so hopefully he'll play too. Also this will be Dempsey's first game in the Gold Cup. I am actually really happy that he's playing with Fullham. I just which it was after this season so I could see him play this year since I didn't last year.

But anyways I'll post the Post-Game post (rhythmic LOL!) tomorrow.

Huston 2, Colorado 1

Okay so at least the lineup was different. That's pretty much the only thing that was somewhat right in this game. And just to show what the lineup was:
------------Bouna-----------
--Perdauex----Ugo----Petke-----Wingert----
----Pablo----Cancela---Beckerman---------
--Gomez--------------Peterson---------
------------Casey---------------

It was something like that I think. Well anways, when the game began and I saw the lineup I was excited. but then the they blew the whistle and in the first 5 10 minutes the Rapids were playing like crap. This game was just plain horrible. They had only 2 or 5 minutes of good play and the rest was just shit.

I was happy when I saw Peterson was playing, but I think he failed to even show up. Then again I think he should of been in Casey's spot. Peterson is fast and knows how to shoot. He would have been a ton more useful up top then Casey. Casey is a better when it's a 4-4-2 and he has another guy with him. He really knows how to give passes that create goal scoring opportunities. If they ever play a 4-3-3 again, they should have Peterson up top then Cooke on outside mid.

Plus Perdauex looked like a five year old playing for awhile. And yes I know he's getting off an injury, but he has been playing in the reserve games. Like the one against the Galaxy reserves. He played really good and did deserve to start, but there is no excuse for the first 10 minutes of this game where he crapply played. Sure that sounds harsh, but I do think he made up for it when actually started playing.

Bouna, as always, did a good job, but he could of stopped that 2nd goal. But that 2nd goal's fault lies on Wingert who wasn't even near Holden when he made that shot, which by the way was beautiful. I don't like Wingert at all. I wish Vanney would get over his stupid sprang or strain, whatever the hell it is. Ugo looked alive in the last minutes of the second half. In the Tronoto game he wasn't even playing remotely good.

Oh and that shot Cancela or Gomez tried to give that bounced up off Huston's goal keepers hands. Where the fudge was Casey or Peterson? If someone would of been up there they could of pressured him. Someone should of been up there pushing anyways. If your team has possession of the ball and you are relatively close to the goal the outside mids or the striker should be pushing near the goal. That way you make the defense more spread out and you are there in case someone takes a shot and it rebounds off the goalies hands. Of course you should also make sure not to get offsides seeing as in that play Hustons defense was keeping us out of the 18. Ugh and watching the replay again I see that Casey and Peterson were just slightly walking by defenders. They should move in to that hug open spot by the ref and ask for a pass and get it out of that tight spot the mids were playing in.

Anyways I am done that's all I have to say. The Rapids have really been disappointing these last few weeks and I hope in their next away game they will win. Plus I hope I don't waste my money on June 23rd, their next home game, because I gave up buying a rare Venom CD so I would have money to see the next home game. If they lose I am going to find one of them and cuss them out then ask for 20 bucks so I can go get the new Mayhem CD.

Okay so introduction...........
